Cold Reception
I watched a news clip on social media today. A reporter interviewed people who had just learned that Monday’s Inauguration ceremony had been moved indoors. They talked to two Oklahomans who had made the trip to Washington, D.C., and weren’t exactly happy about it.

“We have farms. We don’t get to not feed the cows cause it’s cold.”
They’re predicting heavy snow and frigid temperatures in the region. It is perfectly understandable to move the ceremony indoors. You don’t want to stand for hours in conditions like that. No matter how hearty you think you are.
Monday’s inauguration will be the first since Ronald Regan in 1985 to be held indoors due to cold weather.
I honestly kind of feel bad for the people who made the trip up there early. They now get the joy of heading home, sitting in their motel rooms, or hanging out in a bar and watching it on TV like the rest of the nation. Well, not me. I’m not watching it live. I’ll wait for the late show monologues. It will be way more entertaining that way.
Bitterly cold weather is also coming to Oklahoma over the weekend and well into next week. Be safe and warm, everyone.
More later. Time to bundle up.
