As I write this, I’m enjoying a baseball game, America’s pastime — the Chicago Cubs vs. the Milwaukee Brewers , to be exact. Using MLB.TV I’m able to watch or listen to a game at anytime, anywhere I have internet access. Yes, I’m at the office right now. So, I have it in a small window with the volume down on a secondary monitor of my workstation. I’m a baseball fan. Ha.
My love for watching baseball comes from my grandfather. When I was much younger, our family would visit my grandparents down in Spur, Texas. On summer afternoons, my grandfather would often have a game on. They had cable. Hey, back then, it was a novelty. If it wasn’t the Cubs playing on WGN, it was the Atlanta Braves on Superstation WTBS. I guess that’s why I’ve been a lifelong Cubs fan. I don’t know if my grandfather had a favorite team. I think he was just a fan of the sport; whatever game was on, watch it. That’s the kind of fan I am. I can’t tell you the stats, and I’m lucky if I remember player names. I just love the game itself.

This Week
Besides being a holiday week, it’s also the first of the month. So that means many client updates and possible new work projects. I’m still working on my rabbit hole side project I mentioned last week. I made some good progress on it. Later this week, I’ll publish the latest code on Github.
